Black Run Continues Stellar Form with Third Straight Win

Black Run has continued his impressive form, fighting hard to claim victory in Race 1 at Caulfield.

The gelding has now notched up three wins in a row. After settling just off the pace, he was put under pressure in the final stages but dug deep to hit back and secure the win.

Speaking after the race, the team reflected on Black Run’s performance:

"He had to do a bit of work early, and the first few furlongs rolled along, but he got a bit of a breather, which helped him. He really fought hard to the line, he’s a tough horse," Kyle Ryan said.

Jockey, Ryan Houston echoed the sentiment, praising Black Run’s determination:

"He went really well today. I couldn’t gamble on slotting across and looking for cover, so he settled nicely off the leader. Once we were cornering and under a bit of pressure, he did what he does best and fought back. He did everything right and delivered a tough victory."

Comparing this run to his previous wins, Ryan added:

"Today he was a bit more settled, not as keen, and got an easier run in the race. He really shut down well and should continue improving with each start."
