A classy filly by proven sire PIERRO, this is the type of filly we were delighted to secure from the renowned Torryburn Stud draft at the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale.
She is a beautifully balanced, athletic filly with plenty of scope and quality, and looks the type to continue improving as she matures. Physically, she has all the attributes of a filly who should relish a mile and beyond.
Her pedigree is packed with performance. She is out of the stakes-placed mare IMPERIAL LASS, who was third in the Group 1 Queensland Oaks and is a three-quarter sister to Group 1 Australian Derby winner TAVAGO. She is also a half-sister to Hong Kong star STRAIGHT ARRON, who has earned over $4 million in prizemoney, while the family also includes Group 2 winner LA SIZERANNE.
PIERRO needs little introduction as one of Australia’s premier stallions, producing elite performers such as ARCADIA QUEEN, PIERATA and LEVENDI, with his progeny renowned for their class, toughness and versatility.
Purchased for $200,000 from Torryburn Stud, breeders of Group 1 winners HOME AFFAIRS, VOYAGE BUBBLE and SHINZO, she represents a wonderful opportunity to be involved in a filly with both racing and residual broodmare appeal.
Following a smooth breaking-in preparation with Daniel Robinson, she is now in full work at our Scone stable and progressing very well. She has settled in beautifully, has a lovely attitude towards her work and continues to give the team a very positive feel as she advances through her education.
